About “Ann Frantic”…
Ann Roberts Morley’s work has been enjoyed by collectors since the 1980's. Mother of five (the “Frantic” years), she created a wide range of characters and themes through her paintings on wood, canvas, ceramics, furniture - even painting directly on fabric. Initially reminiscent of Modigliani, Gauguin and Rousseau, her unique work has been acquired by collectors throughout the Southeast and beyond.
The seven paintings featured in our art scarves are just a small part of her enormous range of characters and styles. To see more, visit www.annfrantic.com
About Ann Frantic Designs…
My mission for Ann Frantic Designs is to keep Ann's art moving through the world in a happy way - and hopefully do some good, too.
Ann's daughters started a giclee project with this in mind - to keep Ann's images available and enjoyed after her death in 2009. I’ve continued that project, but the scarves were my idea. Like everyone, I'd seen art scarves in museum stores - and I wore scarves everyday in my professional life. So this decision was easy (though creating them took a very long time). I wanted to be sure that they showed off her vivid colors and characters...but also could be worn, not just collected.
Fast forward, and I'm delighted to say that many giclees are enjoyed throughout the country. And our scarves are not only framed by collectors, but traveling out in the world as part of our wardrobes and lives.
Enjoy!
